  • Indian First Experimental Satellite is Apple(Ariane Passenger PayLoad Experiment) launched on 1981. This was used for experiment on television and broadcasting system. 
  • First Indian Remote Sensing Satellite IRS-1A was launched on 1988. Till now total 22 remote sensing satellite has been launched. Cartsat -2d is the latest one;launched on 15 Feb,2017. 
  • Aryabhatta was the first Indian built Satellite launched by Soviet Union on 19 April,1975;six years after commencement of ISRO. Whereas Rohini (1980) was the first satellite launched in India by SLV-3.
  • India built PSLV(Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle) and GSLV (Geo-synchronous satellite Launch Vehicle) for sending satellite to Polar or Geo-synchronous orbit.
  • On 15 February ,2017 ISRO launched 104 satellites by a single rocket PSLV-C37, a tremendous feet and world record..
  • Helium 3 Mining is a futuristic project of ISRO through which Helium 3 from Moon will be used as energy source in Indiia. The predicted time for the project will be 2030. Helium 3 will be used in fusion reactor.
  • The RLV-TD HEX-01, India’s first ever indigenous reusable launch vehicle space shuttle was tested on 22 May, 2017.

Map Depicting Indian Rivers : Indus flows through only Jammu & Kashmir. 1114km of total   3,180 km  is in India.The traditional source of the river is the  Senge Khabab  or "Lion's Mouth", a perennial spring, not far from the sacred  Mount Kailash  marked by a long low line of Tibetan  chortens . Jhelum, Ravi, Beas(Bipasha), Sutlej(satadru) and Chenab(Chandrabhaga) are the tributaries of the river Indus. India/Sindh/Hind name has its origin with this river. Indus water treaty (1960) dictates India to have 20% of Indus river water. Uranium source most important is located at Jaduguda. Krishna Ganga is a tributary to Jhelum.
